American Red Cross Training Available through Innovative Health Solutions
Innovative Health Solutions offers various American Red Cross (ARC) Training Services. IHS staff are certified, experienced instructors in all programs.
American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Courses:
Our American Red Cross (ARC) classes are designed for individuals with limited or no medical training who need certification for work, school, or personal preparedness. All certifications are valid for two years and meet OSHA workplace safety requirements.
Each class includes instruction in:
- CPR cycles and high-quality compressions
- AED operation and safety
- The emergency response process (Check–Call–Care)
- Choking response
- Life-threatening bleeding
- Sudden illnesses, such as diabetic emergencies, asthma attacks, anaphylaxis, and opioid overdoses
- First aid response for burns, head/neck/spinal injuries, heat/cold emergencies, and more
Instruction is age-appropriate based on the course selected (Adult or Pediatric).

Adult First Aid/CPR/AED
This course focuses on emergency response skills for adults only. Ideal for workplace requirements or general safety, participants learn how to respond confidently to cardiac and breathing emergencies, severe injuries, and sudden illness in adults.
Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED
This class covers CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants, but does not include First Aid. It’s perfect for teachers, coaches, parents, and caregivers who want focused CPR/AED training across age groups.
Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
This comprehensive course covers CPR, AED, and First Aid for all age groups—adults, children, and infants. Participants gain broad emergency preparedness training suitable for childcare providers, teachers, community responders, and families.
First Aid Only
This course focuses solely on First Aid response for adults, covering injury management, illness response, and non-CPR emergencies. It is ideal for those who do not require CPR certification but need to meet safety training requirements.
Blended Learning Option
Blended learning allows you to complete the lecture portion of your course online at your own pace, followed by a brief in-person skills assessment with a certified instructor. This flexible option is perfect for busy schedules without compromising hands-on practice.

American Red Cross (ARC) Babysitter Training
The American Red Cross Babysitter Training course is designed for youth ages 11–16 who are ready to build valuable skills, gain confidence, and learn how to responsibly care for children and infants. This engaging and interactive course helps participants become capable babysitters while reinforcing leadership, safety awareness, and emergency preparedness.
Participants will learn:

Basic child development and age-appropriate activities

Feeding, diapering, and bedtime routines

How to handle behavior issues and emergencies calmly

Safety protocols and injury prevention

How to respond to choking, bleeding, burns, and other first aid situations

The importance of professionalism, communication, and managing a babysitting business
This course includes hands-on activities, role-playing, and interactive video lessons to keep students engaged. Each participant receives a certificate of completion upon finishing the course, valid for 10 years.

Babysitter Training + CPR/First Aid/AED Option
Students may also add First Aid/CPR/AED certification to their babysitter training to gain essential lifesaving skills. This option includes hands-on training in:
- CPR and AED use for infants and children
- Emergency response (Check–Call–Care steps)
- Choking relief techniques
- First aid response to injuries and sudden illnesses specific to children
Certification is valid for 2 years and meets many babysitting and childcare employment requirements.
