Bloodborne Pathogens Training – Childcare Focus
The Bloodborne Pathogens Training (BBP) is designed to meet OSHA requirements and provide essential safety education for individuals working in environments where exposure to blood or bodily fluids may occur—particularly in childcare settings.
This course is ideal for:

Daycare workers

Preschool and early childhood educators

After-school program staff

Babysitters and nannies

Anyone in a childcare role responsible for health and safety
Participants will learn how to:

Recognize potential exposure risks in a childcare setting

Understand the chain of infection and how diseases are transmitted

Use Universal Precautions to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Safely handle and clean up bodily fluids and contaminated materials

Respond appropriately to incidents involving blood or sharp objects

Protect themselves and others by using personal protective equipment (PPE)
This training emphasizes real-world applications in classrooms, playgrounds, and other childcare environments where injuries or accidents may occur.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Bloodborne Pathogens certificate, valid for one year.
