American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/Basic First Aid class

  • Anyone who wants to save a life!

 

American Red Cross community classes empower individuals with essential, science-based life-saving skills in CPR, AED use, and First Aid. Participants learn how to respond confidently to cardiac emergencies, choking, injuries, sudden illnesses, and opioid-related emergencies until professional help arrives. The updated 2025 program strengthens community readiness by providing clearer guidance, improved hands-on practice, and modernized techniques—helping everyday people act quickly and effectively when it matters most.

 

**NOTE: The American Red Cross has released updated 2025 program materials. Course content and timing reflect these new guidelines, including revised infant CPR techniques.**

 

Modules/topics covered include:

  • Lowering the Risk for Infection
  • Recognizing Emergencies and Building Confidence to Act
  • Check–Call–Care Steps
  • High-Quality CPR and AED Use for Adults, Children, and Infants (updated 2025 ARC techniques)
  • Recognizing and Caring for a Choking Adult, Child, or Infant
  • General Approach to Sudden Illnesses
  • Recognizing and Controlling Life-Threatening Bleeding
  • Basic First Aid Response to Injuries and Environmental Emergencies

 

After completion of this hands-on course you will receive your American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/Basic First Aid Card, valid for 2 years.

Please wear comfortable clothes. Bring snacks and drinks if you wish.

This class will be held in the Community Connections Building, downstairs in Suite G-5. Please park in the lot shown in the gallery photos and use the downstairs entrance. Signs will be posted to guide you to the classroom.
