American Red Cross community classes empower individuals with essential life-saving skills in CPR, AED use, and First Aid. Participants learn how to respond confidently to cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until professional help arrives. These classes build stronger, safer communities by equipping everyday people to take quick, effective action when it matters most—helping save lives in critical moments.
Modules/topics covered include:
- Lowering the Risk for Infection
- Recognizing Emergenies and Gaining Confidence to Act
- Check-Call-Care Steps
- High-quality CPR and AED for Adults, Children, and Infants
- Recognizing and Caring for a Choking Adult, Child, or Infant
- General Approach to Sudden Illnesses
- Recognizing and Controlling Life-Threatening Bleeding
- Basic First Aid Response to Injuries and Environmental Emergencies
After completion of this hands-on course you will receive your American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/Basic First Aid Card, valid for 2 years.
Please wear comfortable clothes. Bring snacks and drinks if you wish.
This class will be held in the Community Connections Building, downstairs in Suite G-5. Please park in the lot shown in the gallery photos and use the downstairs entrance. Signs will be posted to guide you to the classroom.
