AHA BLS CPR for Health Care Providers and Students

Registration ends 12 hours before class start time

This is a Basic Life Support healthcare provider course that covers adult, child and infant one and two-man rescue, choking and AED. It also covers pocket mask and bag mask breathing. UT Tyler Students have additional requirements, read instructions below!!

Modules/topics covered include:

• Adult and Pediatric Chains of Survival
• Use of Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED/Pocket Mask/Bag-Mask Device
• Hands-on Practice of One-Man and Two-Man Rescue
• Team Dynamics and High-Performance Teams
• Caring for a Choking Adult, Child, and Infant
• Special Considerations and Additional Emergency Response Training

After completion of this hands-on course you will receive your American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card, valid for 2 years, within 24-48 hours.

Please wear comfortable clothes. Bring snacks and drinks if you wish.

This class will be held in the Community Connections Building, downstairs in Suite G-5. Please park in the lot shown in the gallery photos and use the downstairs entrance. Signs will be posted to guide you to the classroom.

IF YOU ARE A UT TYLER NURSING STUDENT, YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE ADDITIONAL STEPS TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH UT TYLER CPR CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

**If you are not a UT Tyler Nursing Student this does not apply to you**

• Please purchase the AHA BLS Provider Manual: eBook or physical PRIOR TO ATTENDING THIS CPR CLASS.
• You MUST bring proof of purchase showing your name as the purchaser AND a recent purchase date (must have current AHA guidelines) AND that it is the correct manual
• Upon successful completion of the class, and after proof of manual possession is given, you will receive your BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card, valid for 2 years.
